In Inspiration, Myanmar (Burma), Random

So firstly, I would like to apologise for the radio silence. The summer has been a busy, hectic, running-around kind of summer that left me little time for ramblings on all that is luxurious and splendid in Asia.

But now I am back. And what’s more – I’m back with a vengeance! For tucked away in one of my many folders, deep within my inbox, is an email holding my one-way ticket to Myanmar… or Burma, as most of us Brits know it as. The land of golden temples, muttering monks and splendid stupas.

After about 18 months of designing and making tailor-made trips to Vietnam and Cambodia for our London based holiday company Fleewinter, I have decided to expand over the border and add Myanmar to our growing list of destinations.

So, on September 13th I will be landing in Mandalay and I would like to invite you to follow me on my expedition. I will be sampling everything from the curried cuisine to luxury hotels and boats as I undertake a thorough six week research trip into this beautiful country. All you need to do is check into this site every now and then (or sign up to email alerts) and sit back with a steaming cuppa, while I batter the monsoon rains and 10-hour bus journeys to bring this country to life for you. Are you ready….?
